'Safe, affordable fun for the family'

'Do together, stay together'. This is a strong message for family holidays, and yet with an increasingly self-conscious public it is difficult to find an activity that is stylish and attractive, yet both physically and emotionally safe for the whole family.

Our design brief was:

'Create an activity that all the family can take part in, with credibility and success'.

The result is the KataKanu. It is a stable catamaran designed to be paddled with a single blade (Red Indian style).

The boat has a smooth-moulded, interior that creates a twin walled, unsinkable boat, which together with self-bailing and strong fittings is low maintenance and minimal demand on the fleet operator.
